#ENOUGH Plays To End Gun Violence
Arizona Theatre Company is proud to announce its participation in the Digital Premiere of the seven winning plays of #ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence, a national short play competition for middle and high school students, in-collaboration with fellow partner theatres including Alliance Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Orlando Repertory Theatre, and South Coast Repertory. Starting on December 14, 2020 – the 8-year remembrance of the shootings at Sandy Hook — the winning titles will be available on the streaming platform Broadway on Demand.
Each of the participating theatres was given one of the 7 winning plays to produce with our students. ATCteen produced Malcolm by Debkanya Mitra.
Malcolm by Debkanya Mitra
Four individuals tell the story of Malcolm, a Black folk musician whose quest through the Eastern Seaboard to find himself was violently interrupted, painting an evocative picture of the connection shared among strangers through a single life.
Watch Malcolm alongside the other plays on Broadway on Demand.
