Israel Jimenez is the Director of Learning and Education for Arizona Theatre Company. Before joining the ATC family, Israel led Valley Youth Theatre’s education department efforts as Director of Education and Outreach. He oversaw the central components of the theatre’s education and community programs, including the award-winning Literacy and the Arts program- a partnership with Arizona school districts that utilizes the live theatre experience to increase time spent reading, comprehension of the story, and exposure to the performing arts. Mr. Jimenez taught theatre arts at Arizona School for the Arts, directing ASA’s main-stage productions and established their first improvisation troupe. As an actor, Mr. Jimenez has performed with local and regional theatre companies including Childsplay, Southwest Shakespeare, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Pacific Conservatory Theatre, and with Arizona Theatre Company’s Café Bohemia. Mr. Jimenez is a graduate of the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from the Santa Fe University of Art and Design.
Jasmine Roth is the Education Associate for Arizona Theatre Company in Tucson. She graduated summa cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, NY, with her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts. She also trained as an actor with the Powerhouse Apprentice Program, Saratoga Shakespeare Company, and SITI Company. Before joining the ATC Learning & Education team, Ms. Roth taught theatre and dance for several organizations and schools throughout Tucson, including ZUZI!, Diverse Dance, Christian Youth Theater, and the Catalina Foothills School District Community Schools Program. She can also be found as a freelance actor, dancer, and director for several local theatre companies.
Katherine Monberg is the Literary Associate at Arizona Theatre Company, where she serves as the resident dramaturg, editor, program coordinator of the Café Bohemia new play reading series, and manages ATC’s annual National Latino Playwriting Award and Literary Internship Program (in collaboration with the University of Arizona), among many other wonderful theatrical and literary duties. She also spends her summers as a director and instructor for ATC’s Summer on Stage, and can be found in and around the Tucson theatre community as a freelance director and dramaturg. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts and English from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN.
