Diana Burbano


Diana Burbano, is a Colombian immigrant, an Equity actor, a playwright and a teaching artist at South Coast Repertory and Breath of Fire Latina Theatre Ensemble. She is part of Center Theatre Group’s Writers Workshop for 2018-2019 and is one of Alter Theatre’s AlterLab 2019 commissioned playwrights. 

Diana’s plays focus on female protagonists and social issues. Work: GargoylesGhosts of Bogota, Policarpa (Blank Theatre 2018)Fabulous Monsters (Latinx Play Festival, San Diego Rep 2017), Caliban’s Island (2017 Headwaters New Play Festival)Silueta, about the artist Ana Mendieta, with Tom and Chris Shelton and Linda, (English and Spanish), which has been seen all over the world.

Sol Castillo


Sol Castillo – Is proud to make his ATC debut in this magnificent production. Last seen as Fred in A Christmas Carol at South Coast Repertory, his other theater credits include: Padre Perez in CalShakes debut of Octavio Solis’ Quixote Nuevo. Also: Denver Center debut of Sunsets and Margaritas. Of Mice and Men at Pasadena Playhouse. The Night Fairy, The Hollow Lands, Charlotte’s Web, Sideway Stories from Wayside School at South Coast Repertory. He is proud of his 8 season run as Refugio/Buzzard in Octavio Solis’ La Posada Magica. Also as Medal of Honor recipient Eugene A. Obregon in the national tour of Veteranos: A Legacy of Valor. He also appeared as Rudy in the San Diego Repertory production of Zoot Suit. 20 years after his father starred in the triumphant Los Angeles production. Christen Gee Celaya


 Christen Celaya is thrilled to be a part of this production at Arizona Theatre Company. Christen is a company member of Teatro Luna in Los Angeles, where she is currently based. Recent LA productions include Teatro Luna’s The Times and Lovesick. She also played Celia in The Southland Company’s production of As You Like It. She was previously based in New York City where she performed in Off-Broadway productions of The Imaginary Invalid, The King of Infinite Space and the title role in Miss Julie. Christen is also a filmmaker with two short films premiering this year, La Sirena and Holes. Christen is a recent graduate with a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Washington, Seattle and a published author. Christen would like to dedicate her work in this production to her family, especially Nana, Chakos and her muse Lori Celaya. 

Satya Chavez


Satya Jnani Chavez is thrilled to be making her Arizona Theatre Company debut. Regional Credits include Evocation to Visible Appearance, A Christmas Carol, You Across From Me, Soul of the World, and All This Togetherness (Actors Theatre of Louisville); Othello, Much Ado About Nothing, and Twelfth Night (Colorado Shakespeare Festival); The Happiest Song Plays Last (Curious Theatre); Jesus Christ Superstar (The Arvada Center); Black Elk Speaks, and Arabian Nights (The Aurora Fox). Additional credits: Chavez is the recipient of the 2014 Kennedy Center National Irene Ryan Award for Acting, received her B.F.A. in Acting from The University of Colorado, and completed the 17/18 apprenticeship at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Alicia Coca


A 2018 Theater Arts graduate of UC Davis, Alicia Coca is thrilled to be making her Equity debut with Arizona Theatre Company’s American Mariachi production. At UC Davis, Alicia played the Leading Player in Pippin! (directed by Mindy Cooper) and Veronica in Heathers the Musical, and was a founding ensemble member and participant in the inaugural Ground and Field Theatre Festival (2017). She was also a featured singer in the 2018 Graham-a-Rama Cabaret (hosted by Graham Sobelman) at Sacramento Capital Stage. Most recently, she performed in Downtown Los Angeles as a lead Angel Vocalist in the 16th Annual La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin (written by Evelina Fernandez and directed by José Luis Valenzuela). She would like to give special thanks to her Davis/Sacramento mentors and collaborators, and her family in L.A. and Phoenix.

Osiris Cuen


Osiris is a professional actor, teaching artist, playwright, and collaborative deviser who has been part of the Childsplay Ensemble since 2014. Childsplay is a nationally and internationally respected professional theatre company for young audiences based out of Tempe, Arizona. Some of Osiris’ favorite of roles are Cory in Super Cowgirl and Mighty Miracle also written by José Cruz González, Sophia in Maddie’s Fridge by Anne Negri, Lizzie Martinez in The Smartest Girl in the World by Miriam Gonzales and got the incredible opportunity to be in David Saar’s The Yellow Boat, all with Childsplay; Miguel in Lisa Loomer’s ¡Bocónat Arizona State University, Phillipa in Year of the Rooster at Stray Cat Theatre, and Draco Malfoy in A Very Potter Musical. Osiris is a first place winner of the National Society of Arts and Letters (NSAL) Drama Competition (2015). Osiris won a playwriting competition and devised a play titled The Night la Luna Disappeared with Now & Then Creative Collective in collaboration with the Phoenix Art Museum (PAM). Osiris is signed with Ford Robert Black talent agency and always makes Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion a priority!

Born and raised in Arizona, Montes is a San Diego, CA based artist. Her most notable credits include: Daniela – In the Heights (Moonlight Stage Productions/ Performance Riverside), Paulette – Legally Blonde (New Village Arts), Mazeppa – Gypsy (Cygnet Theatre). Ali Pizarro


Antonio Pro


Born and raised in Tucson, AZ, Antonio Pro has performed professionally as a mariachi musician for 30 years. His musical journey began in 1989, at the age of 12, with the youth group Mariachi Los Changuitos Feos de Tucson. During his career, he has appeared on national and international television programs, most notably, The Jimmy Kimmel Show and on Spanish-speaking programs such as Despierta America and Sabado Gigante. Antonio has also performed and recorded with the Tucson-based rock group, Calexico, with who he toured with in Europe, Canada, and across the United States. Including performances at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Reading and Leeds Festivals in England. Antonio also takes part in the Tucson International Mariachi Conference, where he has been an instructor for nearly 20 years. He takes pride in sharing his knowledge and his love of mariachi music with the new generation.
