Arizona Theatre Company seeks to transform the lives of every Arizonan through the power of theatre. We offer a variety of accessibility services so that all of our patrons can enjoy our productions.

Wheelchair Access:

Arizona Theatre Company offers wheelchair access to every one of our events. At the Temple of Music and Art in Tucson, the House Manager and trained volunteers will assist you with directions and any necessary accommodations. The balcony in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art is NOT accessible by wheelchair. There are nine steps into the balcony from the second floor. At the Tempe Center for the Arts, there is wheelchair access in the orchestra level and balconies. When purchasing your tickets, please ask to reserve wheelchair seating or request other assistance.

We HEAR You!

We’re delighted to share several sound improvements at the Temple of Music and Art, including additional microphones, sound mixing improvements, assistive listening device options at every performance, and open captioning at a select performance of every show.

Sound Supervisor Mathew DeVore and his team approach every show as they would musicals to catch more of the nuances of dialogue and vocals. Additionally, we’ve added several highly sensitive microphones on the stages and in the air that are designed to handle further distance for various applications in theatre. Read More

Assistive Listening System:

Assistive listening devices (ALDs) amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise.

Hearing devices are available for those without hearing aids or a smartphone at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
