Protecting the health of our audiences, artists, and production staff is our first priority. Due to the recent pandemic surge and concerns over our ability to provide a safe production environment, Arizona Theatre Company has chosen to delay our 54th Season. To ensure the safety of our audiences, our artists, and our team, we will not be returning to live stage productions until it is safe to do so.
Without any ticket sales, this is not going to be easy. We ask for your support and investment in keeping theatre alive for our community.
The most meaningful way you can support Arizona Theatre Company through this delay is by making a charitable gift or turning your subscription into a donation. All donations will receive a tax receipt.
Although we are disappointed by the need to suspend our live and streamed mainstage productions again, we knew that circumstances might deem this a possibility. While we won’t be in the theatres, please know that the work continues. Our creative team has been busy with a series of premiere works in development that will be presented in the next several months. Projects that will inspire your passion for theatre and feed your soul.
Highlights feature behind the scenes access to the making of musicals using the band Chicago‘s iconic songs and a timely piece about Justices Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Subscribers will experience well-known actor John Larroquette starring in a fully produced audio play by America’s most-produced playwright, Lauren Gunderson.
As the number of COVID-19 cases rises and hospitalizations increase dramatically, we pledge to keep our community, staff, and artists safe. We continue to monitor all the latest information from local and national health experts and work closely with all the performing arts unions. Knowing there is a vaccine in sight, we will use this time to continue to develop new and exciting works for our Arizona audiences. For more information, click here.
